Scott Deadelus got his start playing rock and roll two years after he began playing guitar. After begging the best drummer to ever grace Van Buren Middle School (Yakuza Heart Attack¡s Chris Mengerink) to be in a band for an entire year, they finally started a one, Serial Carpens. During this band¡s brief lifespan Matt Rose (of the Gluons) and Joey Deady (of Jet Kid Committee) were key members. Artistic differences and moving boxes led the band to their demise.

During this time period, Scott and Brian Baker (GriZzZzy Bear) also formed a strong musical partnership. Before school they played Black Sabbath covers to an unappreciative chemistry class. Though they didn¡t form a band at this time, Brian did introduce Scott to the legendary Southern Hills Cooperative (Keith Rankin and Justin Baker) Upon his first time jamming with this collective, Scott cut his fingers on his dirty guitar strings but didn¡t let anyone know until the end of the song for fear that they would think he was a pussy. It would be a couple years before they played music together again.

Scott and Joey formed another band, Twice-told Tale, shortly after the breakup of Serial Carpens. This band was important for Scott because it was the first time he was exposed to a synthesizer in real life (a Moog Prodigy). Hoping their drummer would leave this piece of machinery at his house after every practice, Scott would record synthesizer songs that were usually under a minute long. Before this Scott had recorded mostly structureless, noisy songs. Feedback and other noises were the basis of these songs, not notes.

However, Scott realized nobody would ever like these songs so he turned to pop song writing. With many failed projects by himself and many with Brian and Joey, the three of them finally started a band that stayed together long enough to make a CD, Jet Kid Committee. After playing a few shows they picked up Justin and Keith. (Andrew Ashbrook of the Gluons was in Jet Kid Committee for a little under a week). During this time Scott recorded two solo albums (God Bless U.S. Everyone and Dr. Clank and the Alternating Track List) The former was somewhat a collection of songs that Scott had been working on for a while and the latter was actually intended to be a full length album from its conception to its completion.

In 2007 Scott joined Squids Eye records and recorded his third full length, Sexist Aesthetics, a neo psychedelic album celebrating the fortieth anniversary of one of the greatest years in rock and roll¡s history.
